Bananafish Tours is owned and operated by Bill and Velma Wallace. They live in Los Mochis, the gateway to Copper Canyon and in Los Angeles and are legally licensed tour operators in Mexico.

Velma was born in Los Mochis. Her family was involved with the CHP railroad. She was an executive in an insurance company for many years.
Bill Wallace was a pioneer in Copper Canyon tourism. He is respected and known by all in the area of the tours. Bill speaks fluent German, French and Spanish. He attended the University of Vienna, Austria and UCLA where he graduated in 1966. Bill also is a painter and an author of three books. He has worked in a Mexican university and made many contributions to Mexican life. He will offer you an accurate history, information of the culture and nature of the region. You will not get the usual canned cheap claptrap which many Mexican that some tour guides feed to their customers.
