     Like today, a salesperson could boost the price of a vehicle with a few accessories.  GM made a few of these
accessories their selves and "Badge Engineered" other accessories.  Outside manufacturers with renown names offered accessories for new Chevrolets.  These could be ordered like any other GM accessory and your Chevrolet was delivered complete and installed.   This is similar to having a Bosch radio in your German Car.
