Advance Design 49 3/4 ton Pickup new in 1949 for his plumbing business.
Not too many Original Owner vehicles left these days. He painted
it Forest Green to match the rest of his fleet. It has
a rebuilt (1952) motor and 3 on tree but has set for 15 years in current
location. When I drove it there, it didn't have brakes cuz it had
set in last place for 20 years. It has pipe racks on both sides and
over bed that come in handy for carrrying longer loads.
The only rust
out is shown below at the front of the bed and back of cab belt.
Tho fresh gas and battery would get it running, I'd recomend trailering
it home to change the oil and repair the brakes before driving.
My mother wants
to give it to a chairty but my Dad would prefer it go to someone who will
appreciate it. I told them I'd put it on line. Donating it
to a Chairity would benifit them with a deduction at tax time of around
40% of appraised value. (ie: Price = 40% of value.)
> There are 2 68 VW square backs also for sale. (Tail light
of one
> blocking 49.)
> Price = more than the tax deduction by donating to charity.
