First Issue - 1949 These magazines were edited and published
through Clark Publishing Company by the irrepressible
Ray Palmer. Some people go so far as to say that Mr.
Palmer single-handedly created the modern UFO craze.
He did indeed create a slew of interesting magazines
beside this one: FATE, Flying Saucers and Search to
name just a few. He is also remembered for a little
something he was involved in known as "The
Shaver Mystery". He and Richard Shaver wrote
a book about it published in 1975 that you can still
buy on amazon.com: The
Secret World.
