BRC will incorporate the following: physical training, learning
the steps
and dance of capoeira, the music & musical instruments related
to the art
of capoeira, historical and theoretical classes developing on the history
of Brazilian Regional Capoeira.
Activities: The program will consist of 2 classes per week, one
hour
each, in which the instructor will teach activities related to capoeira
regional. Annually there will be an event in which the group will
demonstrate what has been learned

Course Description/Objectives:
Capoeira Angola is an art of the African Diaspora that originated in
Angola where it was designed to teach its practitioners philosophy, self-protection,
music and meditation. The objective of the first course is to introduce
students to the basic movements, rhythms and philosophy of Capoeira Angola.
To further broaden the scope of the lessons, students will also have readings
that relate to the discussions on particular topics
